November 21, 2004
Been bad with updates lately... :) Anyway, Banewreaker is out. I haven't finished it yet, I'm about half-way through. Reviews are starting to appear, of course. And I added a bunch to the Art page.

Jacqueline sent out a message this week to the mailing list. Reminder, you can preorder signed copies of Banewreaker from The Signed Page until November 1. Also, Jacqueline will be doing a signing at Mysterious Galaxy in San Diego on
Saturday, Nov. 6th. She will be in California at that time for the Southern California Booksellers Association Author's Feast. Otherwise, sadly, it looks like she won't be doing much touring for the new book. :(

New fan site: This person has researched the Names of the Kushiel's Legacy.

August 25, 2004
This came out on the Jacqueline Carey mailing list (first sending) on August 15th. Unfortunately, this was also the day I found out that my brother had died the day before. So I haven't had time to post it til now. Here it is:
Thanks for signing up for the mailing list! You may already know this, but as a first announcement, I wanted to let you know that I'll be attending DragonCon in Atlanta over the Labor Day weekend, September 3-6, 2004. I'll be taking part in the Gothic Journeys track. The final schedule isn't likely to be confirmed until the last minute, but you can check out the proposed program at http://www.discord.wox.org/gj/goth.html.
I'm hoping to add a time-slot where I can do a Q&A, talk to readers and sign books, but if that doesn't work out, feel free to bring copies of books you'd like signed to panels and catch me afterward.
There's also a new fan site out there: Land of Angels. Welcome!

August 3, 2004
Jacqueline's site has been updated for August. She's starting on the long editing process for the first Imriel book. And it sounds like she had fun at the Writer's Weekend conference. :D The organizer had emailed me (and maybe others, I don't know) for advice on throwing the Night Court Masque for Jacqueline. I don't know if I was of any help but I am dying to see how the pics look.

I emailed Jacqueline and she will indeed be at Dragon*Con so I've added it to Events. It should be listed on her site after the August update.

Anguissette, posting in the kushiel_trilogy Live Journal community, has pointed out that Jacqueline is listed as a guest at the sf/f convention Dragon*Con, which will be held in Atlanta on September 3-6, 2004. She hasn't listed this on her official page yet...

Lady Domini at House Eglantine just pointed out that Crowfire's JC topsites thingie is down and in fact her whole site is gone. Guess she's moved on. Best wishes to her. Dom has created a new JC topsites.

Added an event. It's a booksigning in Seattle while Jacqueline is there for Writer's Weekend, which, of course, isn't open to the public. The booksigning, however, is.

Ooops! I'm a little bit late with this...sorry, I've been busy. Looking for a job and moving soon (August). Jacqueline Carey.com has been updated for June. The biggest item: we will have to wait til Spring 2006 for the first Imriel book. Well, I can wait. We've got Banewreaker and Godslayer before then.

Ok, I know this sounds mean but the last two people who signed the guestbook need to stop taking stupid pills. I am NOT Jacqueline Carey. This is a FAN page, created and run by a FAN. Me, Amy. Not Jacqueline Carey. Although I have had pleasant emails with her, I don't work for her or otherwise have any official affliation with her. I'm sorry but you need to get a clue. Go to the official Jacqueline Carey site if you want to tell her how much you liked her books. No offense.

Lady Domini at House Eglantine found some new fanlistings out there: Kushiel's Legacy and Sweet Agony. I joined Kushiel's Legacy but I'm not sure it worked for Sweet Agony since the join form used a mailto: action (not a good idea for web forms, although some people have no other choice).

She's updated Jacqueline Carey.com. None of us noticed that her name is misspelled on the mock-up of the Banewreaker cover! Sheepish... Anyway, sounds like Jacqueline had fun at AggieCon over the weekend.

March 27, 2004
Couple of new links on the art page. And added a bunch of reviews. Also, the schedule for AggieCon is up. For those of us who aren't there, but are curious about what Jacqueline is doing at the convention: she's scheduled for a Q&A session, Dueling Genres panel, an Autograph session, Let's Get It On panel, and Welcome to the Dark Side panel.

The official site has been updated. Jacqueline will be a guest of honor (along with Todd McCaffrey, son of the venerable Anne McCaffrey) at AggieCon 35, March 26-28, at Texas A&M University. This is the oldest and largest student-run science fiction convention in the U.S. If I wasn't about to plunge into a life-changing year, I might be tempted to go... : ) The Emerald Magic anthology comes out in February. You can already get it from Amazon.com. And Avatar comes out in paperback in March.

Happy New Year!
Jacqueline has updated her site for January. Biggest news: Godslayer has been split into two volumes. The second will still be Godslayer. The first will be called Banewreaker. Don't know if November is still the release date for the first.
